Part 1 — Privacy Policy
Build Block Studio ("we", "us", "our") built Mini Block Craft as a free, ad-supported game. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Player name — the display name you choose in-game, shown to other players in multiplayer and on community maps.
- Account credentials — if you create an account for the forum or Map Market (username, email, password). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
- User-generated content — maps you upload to Map Market, forum posts, comments, and ratings.
- Feedback — messages you submit through the in-game feedback form.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifier — a randomly generated UUID stored on your device, used to identify your game progress and community contributions. This is not your Apple IDFA.
- Gameplay analytics — events such as game mode selection, feature usage, and session duration, collected via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the game.
- Crash reports — automatic crash data collected by Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs.
- Ad interaction data — Google AdMob may collect device information and ad interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your real name, phone number, or physical address.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
- We do not track your location (GPS).
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the game — multiplayer matchmaking, Map Market, forum, and community features.
- Improve the game — analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and prioritize new features.
- Serve ads — display banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob.
- Prevent abuse — enforce community guidelines, detect spam, and handle reports.
3. AI Features
Mini Block Craft includes an optional AI Building Assistant. When you use this feature:
- Your chat messages are sent to an AI service provider (configurable: Anthropic Claude, Ollama, or a custom endpoint) to generate responses.
- Your world data (block positions, player position) may be shared with the AI to provide context-aware building assistance.
- If you use a locally hosted AI model (e.g., Ollama), no data leaves your local network.
- The AI feature is entirely opt-in. The game functions fully without it.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — Firebase Privacy
- Google AdMob — Google Privacy Policy
- Apple StoreKit — for in-app purchases, processed entirely by Apple.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our backend API, Map Market storage, and forum data. Data stored in the US West (Oregon) region.
5. Data Storage & Security
- World saves, settings, and game progress are stored locally on your device.
- Community data (maps, comments, ratings, forum posts) is stored on AWS servers with encryption at rest.
- We use HTTPS for all network communication.
- We retain community content until you delete it or request removal.
- Analytics data is retained for up to 90 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Mini Block Craft is rated 9+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not require account creation to play the game. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Ad Choices
- You can purchase the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase to permanently disable all advertising.
- You can limit ad tracking in your device settings: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Google AdMob respects Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — contact us to receive a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Delete your data — you can delete your account, uploaded maps, and forum posts at any time.
- Opt out of analytics — disable Firebase Analytics data sharing in your device settings.
- Withdraw consent — for personalized ads via Apple's ATT prompt.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the game or updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Part 2 — Terms of Service
By downloading or using Mini Block Craft ("the Game"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Game for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Game.
2. Accounts
- An account is optional. You can play the full game without creating one.
- If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
3. User-Generated Content
- You retain ownership of the maps, builds, and content you create.
- By uploading content to Map Market or the forum, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the Game and on our website.
- You may remove your uploaded content at any time, which will revoke this license.
- You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, or infringes on others' intellectual property.
4. Community Guidelines
When using multiplayer, Map Market, or the forum, you agree to:
- Treat other players with respect.
- Not upload offensive, explicit, or illegal content.
- Not spam, flood, or abuse community features.
- Not impersonate other players or staff.
- Not exploit bugs or use cheats that affect other players.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines at our discretion.
5. In-App Purchases
- All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.
- Virtual currency (coins) and the "Remove Ads" purchase are non-transferable and have no real-world value.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
- We reserve the right to modify pricing and virtual currency values at any time.
6. Ads
The Game displays ads through Google AdMob. Ad content is provided by third-party advertisers and we do not control or endorse the products or services advertised. You can remove ads by purchasing the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase.
7. AI Features
- The AI Building Assistant is provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy or availability.
- AI-generated content (structures, text) may not always be appropriate or correct.
- You are responsible for reviewing and accepting any changes the AI makes to your world.
- We are not responsible for content generated by third-party AI models.
8. Intellectual Property
Mini Block Craft, its code, artwork, sounds, and design are owned by Build Block Studio. The Game is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. "Mini Block Craft" and the game logo are our trademarks.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Build Block Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual currency, or interruption of gameplay.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Game or this page. Your continued use of the Game constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Build Block Studio operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
